    Robert and Alfred are both talented magicians plying their trade in 19th Century London. Soon, they become bitter rivals when Robert’s wife dies during a stage performance and blames Alfred for her death. Now both magicians escalate their feud by raising the risks of their opposing magic shows and sabotaging each other at every turn. Starring a superstar packed cast of Hugh Jackman, Scarlet Johansson, Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Andy Serkis and David Bowie, this slick arcane thriller is one of Christopher Nolen’s unsung gems.
