On Thursday November 14, at 7:30 the Riverside Chamber
Symphony will present a concert in the Wildish
Community Theater in Springfield, with music by Dvorak and
Beethoven, led by Conductor Philip Bayles, and Associate
Conductor Jared Fischer. Jared Fischer will lead the ensemble
in selections from Dvorak's Legends, colorful and energetic
pieces that explore a myriad of varieties of textures from the
orchestra. Bayles will conduct Beethoven's Symphony Eight, a
work that looks back to the classical period and looks forward
to the romantic era. Although somewhat shorter than the other
symphonies, it is thought to be one of Beethoven's favorites.
The concert is free, with open seating and a
suggested donation of $10.
